ECOCERT

We are no longer certified with Ecocert.  It was costing us (as the manufacturer) around $10 000 per year to maintain this status.  And that cost doesn't even give (the brands we produce for ) their own certification.  They too would be subject to similar fees and inspections.  In the end, none of our clients  were interested in maintaining certification - and then it also didn't become worthwhile for us either - as the factory.  

 

If you are interested - we can move toward this - but it's a huge challenge.  They have to approve your packaging (not as easy as you might think), they need to fly out to inspect your facility once per year (at your expense), your fees to register your products would be several hundred dollars per product/shade per year, and you are VERY limited as to the ingredients and formulas used.  

 

With that all said, we DO use many certified organic ingredients, and most all of our ingredients are approved for use in Ecocert products.  So your claims below are valid!  You simply aren't permitted to use the COSMOS Ecocert organic logo on your packaging.  That comes with a very high price.
